Serviced Apartment Industry Report
In summer 2008, The Apartment Service undertook a survey
amongst over 20,000 bookers, Travel Management Companies, Relocation
Management Companies and apartment operators worldwide. The results of
that survey form the basis of the above report, which also contains
market size, spend and rates data collected from regions around the
globe, plus analysis, case studies and trend information.
This first-ever report on the global serviced apartments
industry comes at a time when 65% of corporates have travel & relocation
policies in place; when 72% of companies worldwide use apartments
instead of hotels for stays of 7+ nights, and when 47% of organizations
across the globe are using apartments for long stays, assignments or
relocation.
As a result, serviced apartments have finally ceased to be
the subject of corporate curiosity. The cost saving benefits apartments
offer over hotels, together with under-supply of hotels, places the
apartments sector well to weather the impending global economic storm.
